For the second consecutive Saturday, all three Club Senior games failed to start today (18th) owing to the shocking weather!!
The climate was somewhat kinder to cricket in Cardiff however, where both bottom placed side Ynysygerwyn and next side up Port Talbot were playing. To cut to the chase, Port Talbot defeated St Fagans whilst Ynysygerwyn lost to Cardiff!
With just one round of games remaining this season, Ynysygerwyn are therefore relegated..whilst, following their abandoned match at Bridgend, Newport are crowned SWPCL Champions 2018!
Commiserations and Many Congrats to each club respectively.
In the Premier League 2nd XI West Division, Neath require just one point next Saturday to clinch the title…Stuart Seaton’s 2nd XI are guaranteed runners-up spot after another fantastic effort this term!
The final positions within Division Five of the SWCA, where our ‘A’ XI play, will not be finalised until the very end of the 2018 competition..a lot to play for next Saturday then, when Alex’s Army entertain Maesteg Celtic at Murton!
