Pontarddulais comfortably defeated our 1st XI at Marespool yesterday (4th), thus sending the team into Division 2 of the South Wales Premier League next season.
Batting first, the Club were bowled out for 53 before our visitors strolled to win by 7 wickets.
So, unfortunately, this year’s campaign ends on a disappointing note..that’s sport!
With all Club cricket now over for another year, there are several hard workers to thank very much for all their efforts, both during the last five months and, in some cases of course, all year round.
In no particular order, everyone should be extremely grateful to the Club’s bar management & staff, the cleaning team, all our Senior & Junior cricketers, those involved in the administration of our Junior section & the coaching of our Junior cricketers plus those parents who help & support, the Club’s Officers & Committee members, our ground staff & maintenance team, those involved in the Club’s catering, our Safeguarding Officer and Health & Safety Officer, our scorers, our sponsors & advertisers, the events managers, our suppliers and each of our ever loyal members.
There’s a lot involved in the running of Mumbles Cricket Club and there can never be enough hands on the deck!
