Sadly, we have to report that Tyrone passed away at his chalet alongside our ground this afternoon.
Numerous obituaries and well-deserved tributes to this very special gentleman will of course appear in the many modern media channels over the next few days. And, if you are not too sure what Tyrone either achieved or stood for in life, with his family behind & alongside him, take a moment to read his story.
For now, however, we leave that prose to others and simply say “thank you so much” Tyrone, for your loyalty to Mumbles Cricket Club, your patronage, your wise counsel, your passionate support of our Junior Section as well as our Senior teams and your Club membership as a long-standing Vice President.
Above all, we have each been just so fortunate to have benefitted from your company over many years. What a neighbour to have!
To Elaine and her family, themselves Club members who have used our facilities for family events, we extend our heartfelt sympathies – it won’t mean too much right now, but we are all thinking of you.
Rest in Peace, Tyrone
