It is with great sadness that we learn that Dave Thomas, Life Member, former player, Secretary, President, stalwart, TRUE legend etc etc etc of MCC, has just passed away at home, after a long period of ill health.
Despite that, and with customary guts, determination and humour, Dave has been able to watch some cricket this season.
Our Club owes Dave so much in terms of dedication, effort & hours donated over several decades, including when Marespool was bought in the mid 70’s. Many folk have contributed to MCC over the years but few as much as this true character.
He was simply such a nice man and much pleasure was gained by being in his company.
