This season’s 20/20 match between Mumbles Cricket and the Ospreys raised £2,000 for the Velindre Cancer Charity.
The annual event attracted another large crowd to Marespool as the Ospreys won an exciting game in the last over to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
Simon Lloyd and John Blyth joined Ospreys Sam Davies and Ben John at Llandarcy to present the cheque to Andrew Morris, head of fundraising at Velindre.
Andrew said; “We are very grateful to Mumbles Cricket Club and the Ospreys for putting so much effort into providing such a great nights entertainment and obviously for the money it has raised for our Victory Over Cancer campaign. It was a cracking event and I’m glad all the players and spectators enjoyed”.
Simon added:
“This was the third time we have played the Ospreys and the turnout this year was superb. It’s great to be able to support the Velindre Cancer Centre this year”.
