What a great occasion it was on Friday (15/7) for all those present & for The Club!!
Several Swans came along to Marespool for this year’s T20 Charity Match, both the XI that took the field & several others to mingle, sign autographs etc. Those present included Brendan Rodgers, Alan Curtis, Colin Pascoe, Tony Pennock, Garry Monk, Alan Tate, Leon Britton, David Cornell, Joe Allen, Nathan Dyer, Angel Rangel, Ferri Bodde, Jose Moreira & Neil Taylor!!
And, apart from the enjoyment had by the 700 or so men, women & children at the ground, over £1100 was raised for the Swans’ chosen charity – the Swansea Children’s Therapy Centre Support Group, based at Hill House Hospital. Thanks to all supporters of the day!
And…thank you Brendan, & all your Boys, very, very much!!
Oh yes…and The Swans ran out comfortable winners of the game itself!! A good start to their new season – their first victory against a Premier League Club!!
